Former Staff

Madelyn Walsh : Staff Writer

Madelyn Walsh

Staff Writer

Walsh is a collector–a collector of cat figurines, existential crises and multiple identities. Always on the prowl for film inspiration, she brains up one havoc of a storm. Not even The Summit Pinnacle could contain this beast. Equipped with her left hand and her shoulder angel Donald Glover, she has tackled writing in a quest for a career, perchance. The fool who persists in his folly becomes the wise, and she is quite the persistent fool.

Scout Crockett : Staff Writer

Scout Crockett

Staff Writer

Scout, formerly known as "La Exploradora Blanca," is a revolutionary writer and hardcore napper. Scout detests writing, although she can't seem to quit; maybe her time at the Obsidian will fix this toxic relationship. Single and ready to mingle, Scout enjoys picnics in the woods, thrifting, fajitas and Marvel movies.

Adri Jolie : Editor-in-Chief

Adri Jolie

Editor-in-Chief

Wow, that’s a weird kid.

Wonder if she does therapy?

Lina McDonald : Editor-in-Chief

Lina McDonald

Editor-in-Chief

Lina McDonald was born with a sword in her hand and a weight on her foot. Cue a sixteen-year training montage, complete with exploding volcanoes, murderous sharks and a shirtless Brad Pitt. You want to add an oxford comma? Don’t even run—because you’re not getting away in time. Lina can outrun a bear. Make sure to breathe evenly: even asthma can give you away.

Milan Anderson : Staff Writer and Video Editor

Milan Anderson

Staff Writer and Video Editor

The disembodied voice that shoots and edits the podcast. Dreams of spending hundreds of millions of dollars of other people's money. On a film, not in the fraud kinda way. Youtube feed filled with cars, tech, cameras, or the tech in cameras in cars. Knows the most about cars out of anyone who doesn't own one. Has connected to hotel wifis on 6 continents. Way too liberal.

Wes McGovern : Former Staff Writer

Wes McGovern

Former Staff Writer

Editor-in-Chief Wes McGovern feels most at home in the newsroom. After inquisitively exploring the world of journalism sophomore year, he fell in love. Now a senior, Wes is leading The Obsidian staff alongside Adri Jolie and Lina McDonald. When he’s not writing, editing or meeting with Jody, you can find him preparing debate cases, listening to music or out on the trails. Wes is beyond excited to help shape the next generation of journalists, as a huge believer in the pursuit of truth.
